Mr. Mark Spencer is a project director at LS Power Group, a privately held company engaged in the development, acquisition and management of power generation and transmission infrastructure. In this role he is responsible for all Owners’ aspects of project delivery of a 900-MW coal-fired power plant in central Texas. Prior to LS Power Mr. Spencer was employed at Fluor. He has more than 17 years of experience in project management for a wide range of projects in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industry in international and domestic locations.
Mr. Spencer will discuss the opportunities and challenges of transitioning from a large EPC organization to managing an office of 18. He will also discuss the Owners’ perspective, specifically an independent power producer with a private equity fund.
